Uses

Nitoplate FRC is a system for repair and reinforcement of concrete structure with use of CFRP plate consisting of unidirectional carbon fiber sheet and epoxy resin.

Supply

Description

A Single CFRP plate corresponds to six plies of carbon fiber sheet with regard to rigidity and is highly effective for repair and reinforcement. In the case of larger number of plies and vertical installation, it is possible to reduce work load by omitting the impregnation of liquid resin into fiber sheets at work site. Instead of adhesive resin, high-viscosity adhesive agent, Nitoplate FEZ adhesive*, is used which results in lesser resin drip. The strength and modulus per unit width of CFRP plate is higher than that of carbon fiber sheet. Hence, it provides the opportunity to reduce the number of CFRP plates being installed as it can be applied in alternative lengths, leaving spaces in between.

Nitoplate FRC has a semi-permanent shelf life, if kept in a dry store away from sunlight and UV rays.

Precautions

Health and safety

Nitoplate FEZ adhesive should not come in contact with skin or eyes, or be swallowed. Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid inhalation of vapours. Some people are sensitive to resins, hardeners and solvents. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye protection.

If working in confined areas, suitable respiratory equipment must be used.

Nitoplate FRCÖ

The use of barrier creams provides additional skin protection. In case of contact with skin, rinse with plenty of clean water, then cleanse with soap and water. In case of skin contact with Nitoplate FEZ adhesive, remove immediately with resin removing cream followed by washing with soap and water.

Do not use solvent. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately. Do not induce vomiting.
